The Unveiling of God’s Covenant Faithfulness
21 Now, quite apart from the (Mosaic) Law – though the law and the prophets bore witness to it – God’s right way of doing things (by being faithful within a covenant relationship) has been displayed. 22 (You see) God’s right way of doing things (within a covenant relationship) comes into operation through the commitment to faithfulness of Jesus the Anointed King, toward all who are actively trusting (in Him). For there is no distinction: 23 all (of them) fell short of their purpose and (thus) fell short of God’s glory — 24 And by [God’s] (Spirit of) kindness that is unearned, all [who are actively trusting (in Jesus)] are freely declared (by God) to be those who are in right (covenant) relationship with Him, (and this is accomplished) through the releasing from the consequences (of death for falling short of their purpose) effected by the payment for liberation (from those consequences) which is found in Jesus the (promised) Anointed King!
